Your files

Every converter on shapefileconverter.com runs entirely in your web browser. When you choose a file, it is read by JavaScript on your device, converted there and offered back to you as a download. The file is never transmitted to our servers or to any third party, and nothing about its contents is logged. Closing the tab removes it from memory.

What the site loads from the network

• The pages and scripts themselves, served from our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, it may keep standard, short-lived server logs containing your IP address and the pages requested.
• Map tiles for the preview map, loaded from the OpenStreetMap tile servers when a preview is shown. Your browser requests only the tiles needed for the area of your data; the data itself is not sent. OpenStreetMap's own privacy policy applies to those requests.

What the site does not do

• No user accounts, no sign-up, no email collection.
• No analytics scripts, advertising networks or social media trackers.
• No cookies are set by the site. Your browser's own storage is not used to keep your files.
